The super flu– Coronavirus– has caused us considerable challenges. Staying away from others is the order of the day. The stress of finding treatments that will lessen or stop the virus from its deadly outcome frustrates us. It puts us in a place of vulnerability. We feel helpless. Yet, we feel we should be able to fix this problem.
Psalm 100:3 says: “Know that the Lord Himself is God, it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves…” Pray that we come to understand that we are not God. We are a part of His creation with limitations. With that in mind, we face the challenge of finding treatments for the current super flu. When we understand our role and God’s role it is easier to tackle the task that is before us.
Remember the teaching of Jesus when He said– “Do not worry saying ‘What will we eat? Or What will we drink? Or What will we wear for clothing?’ ‘’ May I suggest another question–What is the cure?’ Listen to what Jesus says next–”For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these; for the heavenly Father knows that you need these things.” God is not surprised by this pandemic… He knew it was coming … so pray that God gives us the right mindset for facing this challenge– don’t go it alone. Allow God to join us, giving us clarity of thought in this crisis.
Let us do what Jesus says “But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” First things first–pray that you are right with God then you will have clearer focus on the trouble at hand. Being right with God helps us to be right with His creation.
It seems that the flu is present with us every year and we call it the ‘flu season.’ This new strain of flu is tough and we will find a treatment, hopefully a cure. There is a crisis also between man, the created and God, the creator. Let’s pray we all “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to us. He will answer us.
